US President Donald Trump delays increase in tariffs on Chinese goods

WASHINGTON D,C – US President Donald Trump has delayed the increase in tariffs on Chinese goods, scheduled for Friday, citing the progress in trade talks between the two countries.

President Trump said in a tweet that progress has been made on a host of divisive areas including intellectual property protection, technology transfers, agriculture, services and currency. He said if progress continues, he and Chinese President Xi Jinping would seal a deal.
