Attorney General Ishtar Osaf has said during the hearing of the contempt of court petition of the Interior Ministry against Imran Khan in the Supreme Court of Pakistan that Imran Khan is equating the protests in the meetings with Jihad, people are being provoked.
A 5-member larger bench chaired by Chief Justice Umar Ata Bandial, which included Justice Ijazul Ahsan, Justice Muneeb Akhtar, Justice Yahya Afridi and Justice Mazahir Naqvi, conducted the hearing.
Attorney General Ishtar Osaf, giving arguments on the rostrum, said that there is a fear that the episode of May 25 may not be repeated in Islamabad.
The Chief Justice questioned that you are saying that there is a plan for long march and sit-in again, when there are people, you should be requested to stop the crowd, there is no crowd yet.
Attorney General Ishtar Usaf requested that PTI should be instructed not to attack Islamabad.
Justice Ijazul Hassan said that you are asking us to issue orders for those events which did not happen.
The Attorney General said that you will wait for the flood water to enter?
The Chief Justice asked where is the flood? Is there a flood? When a situation arises, requiring immediate attention, we will meet even on holidays.
The Supreme Court adjourned the hearing till October 26.
