KARACHI – Murad Ali Shah Chief Minister Sindh met the business community at CM House for industrialization in Sindh, the meeting was organized by Dr. Mirza Ikhtiar Baig President Peoples Business Forum, attended by Ministers Jam Ikramullah Dhrejo, Makhdoom Mehboob Zaman, Saeed Ghani, Administrator Karachi Murtaza Wahab, S.M.Muneer, Dr. Ikhtiar Baig & Zubair Tufail, Khalid Tawab, Zafar Bakhtawari, Dr. Noman Idrees, Hanif Gohar, Tanvir Shaikh, Rauf Alam, Riazuddin Shaikh, Ali Hussam, Shehzad & Momin Malik, Aziz Rehman Chun and more than 180 business leaders from Pakistan.
Dr. Baig in his speech said that CM Sindh is instrumental to attract investment in Sindh, the recent Sindh investment conference in Dubai hosted by him attended by Bilawal Bhutto Zardari & members of the royal family of UAE, was a testimony. He also attended the conference and highlighted MOU signed for 50 million gallon drinking water desalination plant project in Karachi. Dr. Baig informed that UBG is the largest business group of Pakistan of trade & industry having a strong presence in the chamber of commerce & trade associations of Pakistan. The meeting was addressed by S.M.Muneer, Dr. Noman Idrees & Hanif Gohar. Dr. Baig also thanked Chairman PPP Bilawal Bhutto Zardari for having recent detail meeting with businessmen in Bilawal House.
Meeting with Bilawal Bhutto Zardari provided immense confidence to business community. Chairman PPP invited business community for investment under public private partnership in Sindh particularly Dhabeji special economic zone. The business community raised the issue of encroachments of industrial plots in site super highway phase-2 scheme by land mafia. The business community also shared problems like gas load shedding, supply of water, poor infrastructure in industrial zones, double digit inflation (mahngai), continuous rupee depreciation and forthcoming mini budget and pledged their support to PPP & its business friendly policies. CM Sindh also announced to constitute a working group with industrialists to resolve their problems and appointed Dr. Ikhtiar Baig their focal person to coordinate.
