Atif Farooqi, Advisor and COO of PRBC, and Sohail Shamim Firpo led the PRBC delegation at the summit.
Dr Shahid Noor organized the event as part of the 2nd ICETBEST International Conference on Emerging Trends in Biomedical Engineering Science and Technology.
The summit brought together academic experts, industry leaders, and policymakers from Pakistan and abroad.

Participants discussed collaboration in biomedical engineering, medical devices, research, and innovation-driven manufacturing.
Moreover, the forum featured the Technical University of Cluj-Napoca, a leading Romanian institution known for engineering, applied sciences, and international cooperation.
The participation of the PRBC delegation reflected the council’s commitment to strengthening academic, industrial, and trade relations between Pakistan and Romania.
PRBC Stresses Importance of International Partnerships
Speaking at the summit, Atif Farooqi said Pakistan has strong potential to expand its medical technology and manufacturing sector through international partnerships and industrial collaboration.
He added that forums like the summit help connect academia with industry and support innovation-based growth.
Furthermore, he said the Pakistan Romania Business Council remains committed to supporting long-term cooperation between the two countries.
Summit Promotes Research and Entrepreneurship
The event also served as a platform for discussions on innovation, entrepreneurship, and the future of biomedical engineering.
In addition, PRBC reaffirmed its support for initiatives that connect Pakistani institutions with global centers of excellence.
Officials said such collaborations can promote technology transfer, research partnerships, and medical devices development in Pakistan.
