According to Deputy Inspector General (South) Asad Raza, the court had earlier rejected the police request for physical remand. However, the accused was presented again before the Judicial Magistrate (South) on Tuesday, where investigators re-submitted their plea.
After hearing arguments, the court approved a three-day physical remand, allowing police to take the accused into custody for further interrogation.
Police officials stated that they are now collecting details of previous criminal cases registered against Anmol alias Pinky as part of the ongoing investigation.
The accused was arrested earlier in a targeted operation conducted by Garden Police in Karachi, during which officers reportedly recovered cocaine and other narcotics worth millions of rupees.
Authorities say further investigations are underway to trace the wider drug network and identify possible connections linked to the case.
