The agreement aims to enhance cooperation between the statutory body and the Karachi-based non-profit organization to improve legal aid delivery, particularly in underserved regions including Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Balochistan, and the Islamabad Capital Territory.
The signing ceremony was attended by Minister of State for Law and Justice Barrister Aqeel Malik, who highlighted ongoing efforts to modernize legal aid systems, support marginalized communities, and promote innovation through legal technology and AI-driven solutions.
Under the MoU, both organizations will collaborate on information sharing, joint programs, capacity building, and coordinated advocacy initiatives. The partnership also includes expanded pro bono and subsidized legal services, deployment of community paralegals, and development of multilingual legal awareness resources.
The framework further emphasizes the use of technology-enabled solutions such as remote legal assistance and helplines to improve accessibility for citizens facing geographical and financial barriers.
Both sides will also engage in institutional strengthening through training programs, joint research on justice sector reforms, and the development of best practice knowledge products for national and international use.
Officials said the collaboration reflects a shared commitment to strengthening the rule of law and ensuring sustainable legal empowerment across Pakistan.
