Under the agreement, Mobilink Bank will expand access to structured agricultural financing for farmers nationwide, linking credit directly with essential agricultural inputs and services. The initiative aims to ensure that loans are used productively while improving transparency and efficiency through digital financial channels.
HBL Zarai Services, acting as an approved Agricultural Services Provider (ASP), will support farmers by providing high-quality agricultural inputs, agronomic advisory services, mechanization on a pay-per-use basis, and structured crop off-take solutions. The collaboration is designed to create a “closed-loop” system that connects financing, input utilisation, and market access.
According to Mobilink Bank President and CEO Harris Mahmood Chaudhary, the partnership represents a more integrated approach to agricultural lending. He said the model would help ensure that financing is effectively utilised, ultimately improving farm productivity and supporting sustainable rural livelihoods.
HBL Zarai CEO Amer Aziz added that combining financial access with on-ground agricultural services would translate credit into real productivity gains, improved yields, and better market outcomes for farmers.
The partnership is expected to enhance coordination between financial services and agricultural supply chains, streamline disbursement processes, and expand in-kind financing across key agricultural regions. It aligns with broader national objectives in Pakistan focused on financial inclusion, sustainable agriculture, and rural economic development.
