LAHORE: The 31st Textile Asia International Exhibition & Conferences—South Asia’s largest showcase of digital textile and garment machinery—opened at the Lahore Expo Centre, attracting strong global interest in Pakistan’s rapidly modernizing textile sector.
The event was inaugurated by Mr. Sheikh Shafiq Johkwala, Chief Coordinator PRGMEA – Patron-in-Chief (South Zone). Organized by Ecommerce Gateway Pakistan (Pvt.) Ltd., co- rganized by PRGMEA, and supported by SIFC, the exhibition focuses heavily on Textile 4.0, featuring smart factories, digital automation, AI, IoT, robotics, cloud solutions, and predictive manufacturing under the theme “Technology at the Heart of Value Addition.”

A high-profile opening ceremony was attended by Sadia Taimur (MPA), Uzair Kiyani (Focal Person to CM Punjab for Social Media), Senator Nehal Hashmi, and Anwar Balti, Personal Secretary to Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz, highlighting strong government engagement.
Live demonstrations of AI-powered machinery, smart looms, IoT-enabled factory systems, obotics-assisted production, and next-generation digital printing drew considerable attention from visitors and investors.
