Hyderabad: In connection with the celebration of Independence Day of Pakistan and Marka e Haq 2025, a Girls Tug of War exhibition match was organized at the festival under the supervision of District Sports Officer Hyderabad Maryam Keerio. Government Girls Degree College Kotri achieved a great success in the match and clinched winner trophy. The winning team defeated Students Club Hyderabad by a 2-0 Pull margin. Among the prominent tug warriors, Aina, Sarisa, Tulsi, Sadia, Misbah, Shirin, Dua, Laiba Shoro showed excellent play.
The event was organized by Secretary Hyderabad Tug of War Association and Director Physical Education Government Girls Degree College Kotri Aisha Irum while the technical committee included Anila Mehwish, Ramiz Raja, Zaheeruddin. The event was inaugurated by Commissioner Hyderabad Fayyaz Hussain Abbasi while Principal Public School Hyderabad Iqbal Memon, Vice Principal Fazal Din Memon, DHO Hyderabad Ghulam Hussain, Associate Secretary Sindh Olympic Association Pervaiz Ahmed Sheikh, Coordinator Muhammad Faizan Sheikh, Rehan Sheikh and others were present at the occasion.
The special guest of the prize distribution ceremony was Prof.Mustafa Kamal Pathan, Regional Director Colleges Hyderabad, who distributed the trophies along with the guest of honor Additional Director Colleges Finance Prof. Muhammad Ali Malik, District Sports Officer Hyderabad Maryam Keerio & others. Khurram Rafi, Aisha Razzaq, D.Muhammad Nadim also present.
