Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited (SNGPL) has introduced a revised gas supply schedule for domestic consumers, effective January 2025. Under the new plan, households will receive uninterrupted gas supply from 6 am to 10 pm daily, replacing the previous schedule of three separate slots: 6 am to 9 am, 11 am to 2 pm, and 6 pm to 10 pm.
SNGPL attributed this decision to an adequate gas supply, ensuring greater convenience for consumers.
Additionally, the company has ramped up its crackdown on unauthorized gas connections, disconnecting 136 illegal setups across Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and Islamabad. These operations have resulted in fines exceeding Rs 9 million.
In South Punjab regions such as Multan, Sahiwal, and Bahawalpur, 56 illegal connections were removed, with penalties totaling Rs 90,000. In central Punjab, including Lahore and Faisalabad, 55 illegal connections were disconnected, leading to fines of Rs 3.75 million.
