Karachi (September 28, 2023) President United Business Group (UBG) and former President FPCCI Zubair Tufail has said that UBG will fully protect the interests of Pakistan’s business community after coming back to power in FPCCI. During the year, the ruling panel has brought FPCCI to the brink of collapse and just as the current caretaker government is facing a struggle to revive the economy, FPCCI is also facing a revival in the current situation.
According to the statement issued by the spokesperson of UBG Gulzar Feroze,
Zubair Tafel said in a conversation with the trade delegation led by the former vice president of FPCCI Shakeel Ahmed Dhingra that we have been working with FPCCI for five years. I spent from my own pocket and protected the treasury of the federation, but the businessman panel has made the federation poor after coming to power and now it is the situation that in the export trophy award, when the president of Pakistan, the prime minister, the finance minister or the commerce minister are the chief guests. Not only the officials of the top businessmen panel, who are the governor KP, were distributed as special guests, but the UBG will once again fulfill the trust of the business community by achieving great success in the upcoming elections.
He said that the restoration of the economy is the biggest challenge for the current caretaker government, only the poor and middle class people of Pakistan have been making sacrifices for the country, but now it is necessary that the privileged class should be ready to make sacrifices for Pakistan so that Pakistan can get rid of the IMF debt, the IMF debt gives Pakistan a temporary breather and if we do not start using the mineral resources ourselves instead of giving them to others, the situation will never improve.

Pakistan will once again move towards development, apart from this a total ban should be imposed on the import of luxury items including cars, cosmetics, mobile phones, imported AC, cat and dog food, imported ceramic tiles, imported fabrics, imported diapers. In this way, a substantial amount of foreign exchange can be saved and more than one to one and a half billion dollars will be saved in the financial year, which will strengthen the treasury in the current situation.
