The National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency (NCCIA) has registered FIRs against three more prominent YouTubers, including Iqra Kanwal and Nadeem Mubarak, for allegedly promoting illegal gambling applications on their social media platforms.
In September, Iqra Kanwal was summoned by the NCCIA as part of an ongoing investigation into the online promotion of such apps.
The inquiry into her activities began on August 28, after which she received two official notices. Like Saadur Rehman (popularly known as Ducky Bhai) and other influencers, Kanwal is accused of using her social media reach to promote unregulated gambling applications.
The NCCIA has already arrested YouTuber Saadur Rehman and Mudassar Hassan for their alleged involvement in promoting these apps and encouraging the public to invest in non-approved schemes.
It is worth mentioning that Iqra Kanwal is a well-known Pakistani content creator behind the YouTube channel Sistrology, where she shares content focused on personal growth, women’s empowerment, and family life — often featuring vlogs and musical content alongside her husband, Areeb Pervaiz.
