Karachi, August 5, 2025 – A seminar was held at the Press Information Department (PID) Karachi in observance of Youm-e-Istehsaal Kashmir to mark six years since the illegal revocation of Articles 370 and 35A by India in Indian-Occupied Jammu & Kashmir. The event was organized by Ms. Irum Tanweer, Director General PID Karachi, and attended by senior officials, media representatives. The Guest of Honour was former Ambassador Mr. G.R. Baloch.
In his address, Ambassador G.R. Baloch emphasized that Pakistan currently stands in a diplomatically strong position due to the collective dedicated efforts through the success of strategic initiatives like Mission Bunyan um Marsoos. He highlighted that consistent, fact-based messaging and narrative-building have enhanced Pakistan’s global credibility.

While responding to a question regarding the war of narratives, and former U.S. President Donald Trump’s support towards a peaceful resolution of the Kashmir conflict and support for Nobel Peace Prize by Pakistan, Ambassador Baloch remarked, “It is because of our diplomatic corps’ relentless efforts that Pakistan enjoys balanced and constructive relations with both the U.S. and China. This presents a unique opportunity to move forward towards the resolution of the Kashmir dispute. Meanwhile, India is increasingly exposed for its grave human rights violations and state-sponsored terrorism in the occupied region.”

DG PID Ms. Irum Tanweer remarked, “India attempted to erase the identity of Kashmiris by revoking constitutional protections, but Pakistan has countered this with strong and principled messaging rooted in facts.”
She also added, “The commitment of our media and information officers in projecting the truth has helped Pakistan emerge victorious in the war of narratives.”
In the end, the seminar reiterated Pakistan’s unwavering commitment to standing with the Kashmiri people in their legitimate struggle for self-determination. The participants vowed to continue efforts on all diplomatic, legal, and informational fronts until the resolution of the Kashmir dispute in accordance with UN resolutions and the aspirations of the Kashmiri people.
