PAKISTAN: World Religion Day is celebrated every 3rd Sunday of January as a reminder for harmony and understanding between people of different religions, and non-religious beliefs. All religions have common features, & that they should be respected equally. The day was established in 1950 to encourage interfaith understanding, promote tolerance, and recognize the similarities amongst the world’s religions.


Ambassador at Large for Global Peace & Human Rights Imam Allama Muhammad Ahsan Siddiqui, Chairman Interfaith Commission for Peace & Harmony (ICPH) said that today is World Religion Day 2022, which aims to promote understanding and peace between all religions, encouraging people to learn about other faiths and their followers and the common values they share. Religions were never started to go against people of other religions.
Every religion worships a different God but we all know that the best way to serve God is by serving humanity and so we should be tolerant towards all religions. The day aims to promote the unity of religious peoples so that we can overcome historical differences. It is time we realize that religions are not meant to divide us but to bring us all together.
Chairman Interfaith Commission for Peace & Harmony promotes understanding and peace between all religions, encouraging people to learn about other faiths and their followers. World religion day is aiming to promote understanding and peace between all religions as well as mutual understanding and tolerance between peoples from different backgrounds. We recognise the values & teachings of all religions. It is a reminder of the need for harmony and understanding between religions and faith systems.This day reminds us to live in harmony and widen our knowledge for all religions. We love celebrating diverse cultures and religions by hosting activities for youth and women that promote inclusivity and equality.
