Showbiz Desk: American actor and film producer Will Smith slapped American comedian Chris Rock for making fun of his wife during a live Oscar Awards 2022.

An extraordinary event that took place last evening during the 94th Academy Awards, Oscar Awards 2022, has gone viral on social media around the world.

Comedian Chris Rock hosted a live show for the Oscars and a laughing session was held, during which Chris Rock performed to make the audience laugh.

The joke about Jada Pinkett Smith haircut and working on a movie sequel “GI Jane 2”. Chris’s said “Jada, can’t wait for GI Jane 2,” in an apparent reference to her shaved hairdo – which is a result of the hair loss condition alopecia. He was silenced in the Oscars hall and everyone was amazed at the joke.

Will Smith couldn’t control his emotions when his wife’s name came up and he got sick.

Will Smith got up from his chair, went to the stage and punched Chris Rock, before returning to his seat and shouting: “Keep my wife’s name out of your [expletive] mouth.”

Later, “I want to apologise to the Academy. I want to apologise to my all my fellow nominees,” he said during a tearful acceptance speech for best actor.

Meanwhile, Will Smith’s wife, actress Jada Pinkett Smith is suffering from alopecia, the diagnosis of which she had made public in 2018. The star picked up the first Oscar of his career for playing the father of tennis legends Venus and Serena Williams in King Richard.
