More than 1,900 people have been killed and at least 20,000 injured in Iran since the beginning of US and Israeli military strikes, according to Maria Martinez of the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies on Friday. The figures were provided by the Iranian Red Crescent.

Martinez noted that the Iranian Red Crescent remains the only nationwide humanitarian organization operating across the country amid escalating attacks.
Iranian officials reported that among the casualties, 237 women and over 200 children have died during the past 25 days. More than 4,000 women and 1,600 minors have been injured since the onset of the conflict, according to the country’s Emergency Organisation. Six emergency personnel were also killed in the attacks.
The conflict has caused severe damage to emergency infrastructure, including the destruction of one air ambulance helicopter, 35 ambulances, and 49 emergency centres—six of which were completely destroyed.
The violence erupted after US and Israeli forces launched a joint offensive on February 28, initially killing over 1,340 people, including top Iranian leaders. Tehran has responded with drone and missile strikes targeting Israel, Jordan, Iraq, and Gulf countries hosting US military assets. These retaliatory attacks have caused casualties, destroyed infrastructure, and disrupted global markets and aviation.
The ongoing conflict continues to put immense strain on civilians and emergency services, raising concerns over humanitarian needs and regional stability.
