According to US media, New York has been the most affected by the worst ice storm, 27 people have died in the city of Buffalo. More than 43 inches of snow fell in parts of western New York, causing power outages due to the blizzard.
International airports will remain closed until tomorrow, while 3,000 flights have been canceled across the United States.
Meanwhile, US President Joe Biden has said that his prayers are with the victim’s family, and he has offered to provide federal assistance to the affected states.
