Karachi: Under the auspices of the Dow University Literary and Debating Society, an all-Karachi bilingual declamation competition titled “Guftaar” was held at Dow Medical College in Karachi. The University of Karachi emerged victorious in this competition. Students from various universities and colleges across the city participated in the event with great enthusiasm. The judges for the Urdu speeches were Dr. Anshal Javaid and Dr. Taha Ahmed, while the judges for the English speeches were Dr. Tooba Ahmed, Dr. Komal Abbasi, and Ms. Noor-ul-Sabah Tawqeer.
The competition was presided over by the President of the Literary and Debating Society, Musab Khan, and the General Secretary, Moeez Tariq. In the Urdu speeches category, Zoya Ahmed from PCHS Government College for Women secured the first position, Mazia Aslam from Tabani’s School of Accountancy took the second position, and Hassan Khanzada from Jamia Darul Uloom secured the third position. In the English speeches category, Shahood from NED University claimed the first position, Kashaf Faheem from Karachi University secured the second position, and Huzaifa Rashid from Jamia Tur Rasheed secured the third position.
