The Frontier Corps FC is a group of paramilitary regiments that undertake crucial roles in patrolling and protecting the borders of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, both north and south, while maintaining law and order. This exceptional force also supports the army in the defense of the country and carries out operations against criminal terrorism and militancy, safeguarding communication centers and routes, and protecting important sites and assets. Notably, during the Indo-Pak war in 1965, the FC Khyber Rifles regiment was regularized and fought with great distinction in Kashmir. Furthermore, the Frontier Corps played a pivotal role in eradicating opium poppy cultivation in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. In 2007, after the breakdown of ceasefire agreements between the Pakistani government and local militancy, the Frontier Corps, along with military units of the Pakistan Army, launched successful and perilous operations in the formerly militant-controlled tribal areas, resulting in the arrest and elimination of many terrorists. Military and intelligence experts from the United States government highly regard the Frontier Corps as the best possible military unit to combat militants. This is due to the soldiers being recruited locally, fluent in local languages, and possessing an understanding of local cultures. The Frontier Corps is instrumental in creating the best operational ground for the Pakistan Army, with the highest number of martyrs in the country. The Frontier Constabulary may sometimes take credit for operations carried out by the Frontier Corps, but the primary role in counter-terrorism lies with the Frontier Corps FC. Inspector Generals Major General Noor Wali Khan and Major General Haroon Hameed Chaudhry are two honest and dutiful military officers of the Pakistan Army who have made exceptional efforts in leading the FC North and FC South, making the Frontier Corps the best force in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. The team responsible for protecting the country’s borders includes DIGs, head colonels, and unit commandants. many recruits of the Frontier Corps losing their lives while installing barbed wire to protect the people. In urban areas where the police fail in their operations, the Frontier Corps FC is brought in, allowing the people of the country to sleep peacefully, without fear. In conclusion, the exceptional efforts of the Pakistan Army and Frontier Corps FC have prevented the people from living a life of slavery. Their service to the nation remains immeasurable, and the Frontier Corps stands as a shining beacon of courage, dedication, and commitment to duty.
