UBG expresses grief on catastrophe in Turkey and Syria.

KARACHI – Shahzad Ali Malik, Chairman, Zubair Tufail, President, Khalid Tawab Chairman Sind Region, Hanif Gohar Secretary General Sindh Region, Central Spokesperson Gulzar Feroze, Former Senior Vice President FPCCI Mazhar Ali Nasir, and other leaders and members of United Business Group (UBG) have expressed their sentiments, sorrow and grieve on the large number of deaths of the Turkish and Syrian people and infrastructure destroyed in the wake of earthquake occurred in both the countries recorded as the biggest catastrophe in the history. They said that it breaks the heart of Pakistani people to witness sheer scale of unfolding human tragedy.

They further said that the business community of Pakistan stand-by its Turkish and Syrian brothers at this hard time and pray to Almighty Allah to enable the Turkish and Syrian people to carry out rescue work which is a great challenge in freezing weather that might be hampering emergency efforts.

They recalled that Pakistan and Turkey are time tested friends particularly at all hard times. Turkey generously helped Pakistan during 2005 earthquake and 2010 and 2022 floods which will always be remembered by Pakistanis. They have also welcomed the decision of establishment of PM’s Relief Fund for Turkey earthquake victims. 

They have also prayed to Almighty Allah for the early recovery of large number of people having suffered from injuries and casualties of earthquake. It is our firm believes that Turkey and Syria will soon overcome this catastrophe, UBG added.
