Italy: During the Easter holiday period, the State Police in Turin arrested a total of 13 individuals suspected of crimes against property and persons. Among those arrested were individuals involved in break-ins and thefts from vehicles.
One notable incident occurred when officers from the Dora Vanchiglia Police Station observed two individuals carrying large boxes along Corso Vercelli in the middle of the night. Upon noticing the police presence, the suspects abandoned the boxes and attempted to flee. However, they were apprehended shortly afterward. The boxes were found to contain food items intended for families in need.
In another case, thanks to prompt alerts from residents, officers arrested a 33-year-old man who had broken into a bar in Piazza Castello. The suspect, found in possession of burglary tools, was attempting to steal alcohol but was interrupted by the arrival of police.
Additionally, a 25-year-old man was arrested for stealing a cash register from a bakery in the Santa Rita neighborhood.
Four individuals were also arrested for theft from vehicles, with one suspect causing damage to cars by throwing rocks at them along Corso D’Azeglio.
The police emphasized the importance of community cooperation in combating crime and urged residents to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activities.
