Karachi – “To change the nation first change yourself. You have to change your mentality, your habits, and your actions towards positivity for a better Pakistan”. It was stated by Nawab Muhammad Taimur Talpur (Minister for IT, Environment & Coastal Development – Government of Sindh) as Chief Guest at the “3rd Jadeed Karachi Conference” on the occasion of International Youth Day at Pearl Continental Hotel, Karachi, organized by Youth Parliament.
The event was graced by dignitaries from different codes of life including stake holders, politicians, media personalities, social activists and large number of youth from all over Sindh. The guests of honor included Mr. Iftikhar Ali Shallwani (Commissioner Karachi), Mr. Syed Sardar Ali Shah (Minister for Education, Culture & Tourism – Government of Sindh), Dr. Imran Ali Shah (Member Provincial Assembly – PTI), Madam Nida Khuhro (Member Provincial Assembly – PPP), Madam Aneesa Waliullah (Leader PTI), Mr. Abdul Haseeb Khan (Former Senator), Mr. Fahim Zaman Khan (Former Administrator Karachi), Mr. Mansoor Raza (Social Researcher), Mr. Asif Khan (President – Happy Palace School), Mr. Zeeshan Altaf Lohya (Founder President – Z International School), Dr. Kaiser Bengali (Financial Analyst), Madam Rumana Husain (Writer, Founding Member Iamkarachi), Madam Anita Florijn (Director Programs – FESF).
While his address Founder Chairman Youth Parliament Mr. Rizwan Jaffar said: “Human development is not just dependent on education but other co-curricular activities are also very important to get training to serve society in a better way”. “We should transfer the knowledge and expertise either in term of resources, time or finance”, he added.
Dr. Imran Shah said, “The primary role of young people is to get a good education in order to become better citizens of tomorrow. They need to learn skills to do the job that their country’s economy needs”.
While addressing youth Madam Anita Florijn (Director Programs – FESF) said, “Invests yourself with motivation to gain competency, give best yourself and empowering others”.
Asif Khan (President – Happy Palace School) said, “There is nothing impossible, even impossible said I M Possible”. “The best investment is investment in youth to enhance their skills and expertise”, he added.
Abdul Haseeb Khan (Former Senator) said, “To impart education is part of the faith. Education is the only way to win the world. It is to think deeply about something till its roots and understand the intention behind it”.
On this occasion Youth Parliament also presented awards to Social Activists for their services in regards of their services in promoting volunteerism.
