Spokesman of Pakistan Army, Major General Babar Iftikhar rejected the rumors that Pakistan’s land was used for US drone attack in Afghanistan.
Talking to a private news channel, Director General of Public Relations (ISPR) Babar Iftikhar said that Pakistan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs has issued a clear statement on the issue of Al-Qaeda leader Ayman al-Zawahiri, after a clear statement, there is no point in this kind of conversation. Babar Iftikhar said: ‘There is a baseless statement that has no evidence, there is no question that Pakistan’s land is being used for drone strikes in Afghanistan’.
Earlier, DG ISPR reacted to the negative propaganda campaign on social media against Lasbela helicopter crash.
He said: “The families of the martyrs are heartbroken due to the negative social media campaign, there is anger and anxiety among the families of the martyrs and the rank and file of the Pakistan Army.”
Spokesman of Pakistan Army said: “The entire nation stands with the Pakistan Army in this difficult and painful time. The insulting campaign was launched by some insensitive sections on social media. The insensitive behavior is unacceptable and condemnable.”
On August 1, an army helicopter that was going to help the flood victims in Balochistan suddenly disappeared in which 6 officers and personnel including Corps Commander Quetta Lt. Gen. Sarfraz Ali were on board.
The next day, the wreckage of the helicopter was found by Musa Gothwinder Lasbella. ISPR confirmed the martyrdom of all the officers and personnel in the tragic accident.
