KARACHI: Vice Chairman of All Karachi Tajir Ittehad Muhammad Akram Rana has said
that the prices of petroleum products should be stabilized. Day by day the prices of
petroleum products, gas and electricity are increased. This will further depress the
economy.
He further said that the textile and real estate sectors play an important role in the
generation of revenue, but in the current situation both these sectors are suffering
from degradation. The textile and real estate industry has reached the brink of
collapse due to the high cost of various materials.
Muhammad Akram Rana further said that the caretaker government should adopt a
comprehensive strategy for the stability of the economy. Traders are the backbone
of the country’s economy. Actions are needed on emergency basis to provide relief
to them.
He has demanded the relevant authorities to make a solid economic policy keeping
in mind the country’s situation.
