Karachi – Greece Migrant Boat tragedy is one of the great tragedies in the history of Pakistan in which a large number of youth, children, women lost their lives due to the accident. There is a huge human trafficking network consisting of countless human traffickers who sent 209 Pakistanis to foreign countries on the pretense of jobs, only 9 have been caught so far, which is a very small number according to the statistics. The government should also provide financial support along with sympathy to the families of those who lost their lives in the accident. Those who went abroad sold their savings and dared to leave the country on the hope that they will be able to get better jobs in other countries. Expressing his views on the Greece boat accident last week while talking to media representatives, Kaukab Iqbal said that because there is an economic crisis in the country due to which inflation is increasing day by day for the poor and middle class. It is not possible to run the expenses of their home, so the young people are moving to other countries to save their families from hunger and poverty. In view of the situation, about seven lakh people have gone abroad and thousands of people have applied for visas from different countries, especially Europe, America and other countries. The applications are so flooded that the turn may come next year or so. People often go to tourist visa and change the status therein. Kaukab Iqbal said that if the government looks at the background of this tragic accident, it is not difficult to understand that all those who lost their lives in the boat accident were not only cheated by human traffickers in fake promises of good jobs in foreign countries with millions of rupees but also lost their precious lives to this deadly incident. Government should crack down on illegal immigration consultants all over the country. What qualifications do immigration consultants have? Which agency of the government has given permission to work? Kaukab Iqbal said that those who make fools of the people by installing boards of immigration consultants and digest hard-earned savings of innocent people should be severely punished. There are numerous offices in the name of Immigration Consultants in Defense, Clifton, Nursery, Gulshan Iqbal, Gulistan Johar and other areas of Karachi. Not only do they lose their savings while trying to get out of the country in a proper way, but sometimes they meet with such a tragic accident.
