Friday, September 12, 2025 : Karachi – The Consulate-General of Japan in Karachi hosted the Consul General’s Commendation Award Ceremony for 2025, honoring, Mr. Khurram Sohail, the founder of the Pakistan-Japan Literature Forum (PJLF) for his exceptional contributions to Japan-Pakistan relations.
During the ceremony, Consul General HATTORI Masaru congratulated Mr. Sohail on this achievement and highlighted that this award was a symbol of sincere appreciation, a recognition of Mr. Sohail’s long-standing commitment and invaluable contributions toward promoting Japanese literature and culture in Pakistan, and for strengthening the bonds of friendship between Japan and Pakistan.
The Consul General’s Commendation is intended to recognize individuals or organizations who have cooperated a diplomatic mission abroad and are deemed to have made outstanding contributions or performed meritorious acts worthy of special commendation. This year’s honoree, Mr. Khurram Sohail, join a distinguished group of individuals whose efforts continue to shape a brighter future for Japan-Pakistan relations.
