Karachi, April 23, 2025 (PPI) In a gathering commemorating the 53rd annual Urs of Tehreek-e-Pakistan leader and close associate of Pakistan’s founder, Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah, in Sindh, Allama Zahoor-ul-Hasan Dars, speakers paid rich tribute to his religious, national, political, and welfare services.
In the gathering, Allama Faisal Aziz Bandagi mentioned that after the establishment of Pakistan, Quaid-e-Azam offered his first Eid-ul-Fitr prayer under the leadership of Allama Zahoor-ul-Hasan Dars at Eidgah ground on M.A. Jinnah Road. Allama Zahoor-ul-Hasan Dars was a member of the Sindh Muslim League and All India Muslim League Working Committee and was a prominent figure in the freedom movement in Sindh.
Allama Faisal Aziz Bandagi further stated that after independence, the entire nation stood behind Quaid-e-Azam, and Quaid-e-Azam offered Eid prayers behind Allama Zahoor-ul-Hasan Dars. As the Nazim-e-Aala of Jamiat Ulema-e-Pakistan, Allama Dars, along with Maulana Abdul Hameed Badayuni, held successful negotiations with Molvi Tamizuddin Khan, Speaker of the Constituent Assembly, in March 1948.
These negotiations were aimed at making the Objectives Resolution a fundamental part of the constitution, which also serves as the foundation of the 1973 Constitution. Khateeb Ahl-e-Bait Allama Naqi Naqvi remarked that Allama Dars was a distinguished religious scholar. On this occasion, Hakim Muhammad Akbar Dars offered supplicatory words, and Allama Muhammad Asghar Dars expressed gratitude to the participants. At the conclusion of the gathering, food was distributed to all attendees.
