Karachi Pakistan : We thought that Mushairas are being held in India, but there are no valuable and big Mushairas in Pakistan. With regard to the services of Urdu literature, he brought together some more personalities who were interested in poetry and successfully started organizing the first “International Mushaira” of the residents of Shahr Quaid in 1989. which continues to this day, Sakinan Shahr Quaid has become an institution and now young poets are also joining this festival. New thinking and new faces are also coming forward.
In these efforts, Mahmood Ahmed Khan, Jamal Azhar, Nadeem Zafar Siddiqi and others team members are trying to make the mushaira successful by going forward, thanks to which there will be a successful mushaira on January 4, 2025. These views were expressed by Dr. Pirzada Qasim while presiding over the meeting. This meeting was held yesterday at the residence of Senator Abdul Haseeb Khan. Mehmood Ahmad Khan did not limit the mushaira to the great poets, but seeing the enthusiasm, love and crazy attitude of the youth towards literature and poetry, he called “the youth of literature.” In the name of Sakinan Shahr Quaid, a branch of the organization is formed. On this occasion, famous and well-known literary and social personalities of the city and businessman Barardi participated in large numbers and assured their support in every way.
The host of the event, Senator Abdul Haseeb Khan, while speaking, said that the knowledge of international mushaira is in the hands of Dr. Pirzada Qasim and Mahmoud Ahmed Khan. This is a unique event regarding poetry, today I am expressing my long-standing wish that 25 years ago I also wrote poetry. After listening to my poems, you will decide what poetry is like. He recited a few poems written by him, after hearing which the people present in the venue applauded in full.
Well-known business leader Zubair Motiwala said that these mushairas will be remembered as memorable mushairas of 30 years. I have been watching the efforts of Mehmood Ahmad Khan and his team for a long time. Ijaz Mahmood said that he is happy to see today’s gathering and feels that this international Mushaira, which will make history, God willing. President of Arts Council of Pakistan Karachi Muhammad Ahmad Shah while addressing said that by working as a team work, Arts Council of Pakistan Karachi has become the largest institution not only in the country but also in the whole world.
Similarly, the residents of the city of Quaid also have a place at the global level. I have always offered my best services for the world fair and continue to assure full cooperation, I salute the efforts of Mahmood Ahmed Khan, Rana Ashfaq Rasool appreciated the efforts of Jamal Azhar, Nadeem Zafar and their team to make Mushaira a success. Mehmood Ahmed Khan thanked the guests and said that I am happy that you have participated in such a large number on my one day’s notice. This meeting is a part of the preparations for holding the International Mushaira on January 4, 2025.
Inshallah, it will be more successful than last year’s Mushaira. Mazhar Khan said that I am always ready for any cooperation. Owais Adeeb Ansari said that the success of the mushaira on January 4, 2025 has been confirmed by the number present in today’s gathering. Afzal Hameed, Senior Vice Chairman of Abad, said that seeing Dr. Pirzada Qasim makes one feel that the city is alive.
I am sure this trend will continue. Prof. Anees Zaidi and Nadeem Hashmi offered their services to help in the preparation of Mushaira. He said that we will all make Mill’s 30th International Exhibition a success. On this occasion, Akhlaq Ahmed, Hasan Imam Siddiqui, Jamal Azhar, Nadeem Zafar Siddiqui, Akhtar Saeedi, Dr. Shabbir Hussain Arain, Saima Alvi, Rizwan Zaidi, Syed Abdul Basit, Farooq Arshi, Rehan Mehmood Khan, Ahmed Hassan, Muhammad Hanif, Tariq Rahmani, Wasi Qureshi, Athar Javed Sufi, Javed Memon, Dr. Sultan Ahmed, Syed Sultan Khalil, Mansoor Sahir, Tebeer Aghai, Shams Al Huda Zuberi, Sabir Hussain, Agha Shirazi and other academic and literary personalities participated in large numbers, Rizwan Zaidi performed the duties of Nizamat.
