The project begins with the collection of worn-out denim, which is then carefully deconstructed. In the quest for sustainability within the fashion industry, woven shreds of denim emerge as a transformative solution that embodies both creativity and environmental responsibility. Each piece is hand-printed with intricate Ajrak designs, celebrating cultural heritage while promoting sustainable practices. Moreover, shreds are extracted from deconstructed denim to be woven into unique patterns, breathing new life into old materials. By honoring traditional textile techniques and integrating them into contemporary designs, we have created pieces that resonate with both, local and global communities.
