Karachi, November, 2025 — Fatima Jamal Memorial Welfare Organization successfully organized a Breast Cancer Awareness Seminar at KPT Staff College. The purpose of this seminar was to raise awareness among women about breast cancer, its early detection, and preventive measures.
The event, held under the theme “Celebrating Women with Strength and Positivity,” was attended by healthcare professionals, survivors, students, and representatives from various social and educational institutions.
The Chief Guests of the event were Dr. Fahad Shafiq, Coordinator, Prime Minister Youth Program Sindh, and Dr. Fouzia Hameed, Member of the Provincial Assembly of Sindh. Both emphasized the importance of awareness regarding women’s health and highlighted ongoing initiatives at the government level. They also assured their full cooperation in future awareness efforts.
Dr. Reena Kumari, Clinical Oncologist (Dr. Ziauddin Hospital, Clifton), participated as the Guest Speaker and educated the participants about the early symptoms, treatment, and importance of regular checkups for breast cancer prevention.
Ms. Huma Jamal, President of Fatima Jamal Memorial Welfare Organization, stated in her address:
“Awareness and early diagnosis are the most powerful tools in the fight against breast cancer. We must encourage women to prioritize their health above all.”
The seminar also featured inspiring survivor stories, an interactive question-and-answer session, and the presentation of shields and certificates to honorable guests and participants.
