SMARTCON 2026 – Day 2 | Service. Substance. Synergy.
Day 2 at SMARTCON 2026 opened with warm breakfast fellowship and the recitation from the Holy Quran, creating a calm and reflective start to a day filled with purpose. DG Shakeel Kaim Khani’s motivating opening remarks set the direction, followed by fellowship, candidate election speeches, and a heartfelt In Memoriam honoring our Rotary stalwarts. With the District Accounts presentation reinforcing transparency, the first plenary, Rotary in Action, showcased impactful club projects — real stories of service transforming communities across the district.
The day gathered momentum with compelling sessions on Girl Empowerment, where inspiring women leaders shared journeys of resilience and progress, and the high-impact Polio Plenary, uniting Rotary, government, and health partners in the collective mission to end polio. The Education – Tomorrow is Here session brought together thought leaders and policymakers to shape inclusive learning pathways, further strengthened by the proud MoU signing with Teach the World Foundation Pakistan, expanding Rotary’s educational outreach and partnerships. The address by RIPR/Director Christine Etienne added global inspiration, while fellowship and performances kept the Rotary spirit vibrant and engaging.
As the evening unfolded, Rotary Beyond Borders and Peace Fellowship highlighted Rotary’s expanding global footprint and commitment to peacebuilding. The District Succession session celebrated leadership continuity with Our Year Together by DGE Shahzad Sabir, the Acceptance Speech by DGN Fahad Sikandar, and the final Election Announcement and Address by DGND Abdul Jabbar Shaikh — symbolizing confidence in the district’s future. Before the cultural music finale, the entire conference team was warmly recognized with souvenirs, honoring their tireless dedication behind the scenes. Seamlessly steering the conference throughout the day were our dedicated Masters of Ceremony and leadership team — Secretary SMARTCON 2026 PP. Syed Kashif Rafi, PP. Atiqua Vally, ARPIC Raza Tabish, DS Furqan Sheikh, PP. Beenish Qamar, and Syeda Shazwar Batool — whose energy, coordination, and professionalism kept every moment on track.
From ideas to impact, partnerships to purpose, and service to celebration — Day 2 truly reflected Rotary at its very best.
