KARACHI “Government of Sindh will extend its full support in promoting Diploma Program in Employment Laws and Industrial Relations initiated by EFP in collaboration with IBA under the technical assistance from ILO.” This was stated by Abdul Rasheed Solangi, Secretary Labour Sindh, while speaking as the Chief Guest on the occasion of Graduation Ceremony of Diploma Program in Employment Laws and Industrial Relations successfully completed by 2 batches comprising of around 50 graduates drawn from reputed business enterprises.
Rameez Khalid, Director CEE, IBA speaking on the occasion said that IBA was proud of this partnership with EFP through which an important field of learning and specialization is being targeted to meet the challenging demands of the employment market.
Ismail Suttar, President Employers’ Federation of Pakistan(EFP) in his keynote address thanked IBA for their collaboration with EFP in launching this Diploma Program in 2019. The seeds sown by the then EFP President Majyd Aziz supported by Zaki Ahmed Khan Vice President EFP and Fasihul Karim Siddiqi, the then Secretary General of EFP, is now growing into a strong tree bearing fruits. The entire community of IR professionals and Business Enterprises will benefit from this program.

Ms. Ingrid Christensen, Country Director, ILO office Islamabad in her address appreciated EFP and IBA for introducing the Diploma Program and expressed her satisfaction on the progress made in the program in the last three years. She renewed ILOs commitment to extend technical support whenever needed for the sustainability of the program.
Fasihul Karim Siddiqi, Advisor EFP congratulated the graduating participants of the program and termed them as shining stars on the horizon of Industrial Relations. He expressed the hope that they will act as ambassadors of the program and will prove to be the Role Models in the IR profession. He announced that the induction of the 4th batch is in progress and the Advanced Diploma Program will be launched in mid-June 2021.
Abdul Rasheed Solangi, Ismail Suttar, Zaki Ahmed Khan, Dr Rameez Khalid, Ms. Ingrid Christensen and Majyd Aziz distributed awards and certificates to graduating students. They appreciated the efforts of worthy faculty, IBA & EFP teams in successfully carrying on the whole program and hoped that more and more nominations will be sent by business enterprises in the program.
The program ended with vote of thanks by Sumera Muhammad, Manager SDP and presentation of mementos to guests.
