Karachi, April 3, 2026: The Government of Sindh has announced a Rs2,000 fuel subsidy for motorcycle owners, following a scheme unveiled by the federal government a day earlier.
Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah made the announcement during a press conference on Friday, stating that the move aims to provide relief to citizens amid rising fuel prices.
Addressing the recent surge in petroleum prices, the chief minister acknowledged that the government had to take “difficult decisions,” but emphasized that efforts were being made to cushion the financial impact on the public.
The subsidy is expected to benefit a large number of daily commuters who rely on motorcycles for transportation, particularly in urban centers like Karachi.
