Karachi: Sindh government spokesperson Syeda Tehseen Abidi held a significant meeting with the Consul General of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Mr. Hassan Nourain, at the Iranian Consulate in Karachi.
During the meeting, both dignitaries discussed the longstanding historical, cultural, and economic relations between Pakistan and Iran. Syeda Tehseen Abidi highlighted the deep-rooted friendship between the two nations and recalled the strong ties shared by Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto, his wife, Shaheed Benazir Bhutto, and now the Chairman of Pakistan Peoples Party, Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, with Iran.
She emphasized that Pakistan and Iran have always supported each other in times of need and that the Sindh government remains committed to strengthening bilateral cooperation in various sectors.
Consul General Hassan Nourain reaffirmed Iran’s commitment to further enhancing ties with Pakistan, particularly in trade, energy, and cultural exchange.
Both sides agreed on fostering stronger diplomatic and economic collaboration for mutual benefit.
