Sindh won the title for the first time by defeating the defending champion Khyber Pakhtunkhwa by 8 wickets in the final of the National T20 Championship.
In the final match played at Multan Cricket Stadium, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa team won the toss and decided to bat first.
The defending champions were all out after scoring 140 runs in the last over.
Sohail Khan, who took 4 wickets for Sindh, laid the foundation for his team to win the first title.
He got 4 wickets by giving 18 runs in 4 overs while Mir Hamza and Asif Mahmood were outstanding with 2 wickets.
On behalf of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Rehan Afridi was outstanding with 43 runs and Muhammad Sarwar with 30 runs.
Chasing an easy target, Sindh openers Sharjeel Khan and Saeem Ayub played aggressively and pushed Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on the back foot.
Sharjeel Khan scored 53 runs and Saeem Ayub scored 36 runs while captain Saud Shakeel scored 18 runs and Umar Yusuf remained unbeaten with 21 runs.
Sindh achieved the target on the fourth ball of the 15th over and won the honor of becoming National T20 champions for the first time.
Sindh’s Sohail Khan was adjudged Man of the Match for his excellent bowling performance.
