The Sindh Education Department has declared Friday, March 28, as a public holiday for all schools and colleges across the province in observance of Shab-e-Qadr (27th Ramadan).
According to an official notification, both public and private educational institutions under the School Education and Literacy Department will remain closed on this day.
Shab-e-Qadr is considered one of the holiest nights in Islam, during which Muslim devotees engage in special prayers, recitation of the Holy Quran, zikr, and other religious rituals. Many seek blessings, forgiveness, and guidance from Almighty Allah for personal well-being, family prosperity, and the peace and progress of the nation and the Muslim Ummah.
This announcement follows similar decisions in other provinces, as authorities accommodate religious observances and facilitate participation in Shab-e-Qadr prayers.
