The Supreme Court has acquitted Shahrukh Jatoi, the main accused in the Shahzeb murder case.
According to the details, the Shahzeb murder case was heard in the Supreme Court, a three-member bench headed by Justice Ijaz-ul-Ahsan heard the case.
Lawyer Latif Khosa told the court that the parties had already reached an agreement, the accused had no intention of spreading terror, and the incident of murder was given the color of terrorism.
The court acquitted the accused Shahrukh Jatoi and other accused in the Shahzeb murder case.
It should be noted that on December 25, 2012, Shahrukh Jatoi and his friend Ghulam Murtaza Lashari abused the sister of the deceased Shahzeb Khan, on which Shahzeb got angry and ran away from the accused. Shahrukh Jatoi, along with his friends, fired at Shahzeb’s car and killed him.
After the incident, Shah Rukh fled to Dubai. The investigation was slow, eventually the culprit was arrested and the case went to the Anti-Terrorism Court.
Shahrukh Jatoi and Siraj Talpur were sentenced to death while Sajjad Talpur and Ghulam Murtaza Lashari were sentenced to life imprisonment on June 7, 2013.
Later, the Sindh High Court reversed the decision of the trial court and awarded life imprisonment, after which the accused filed appeals in the Supreme Court against the life imprisonment.
