Senior journalist Mirza Iftikhar Baig laid to rest in Karachi after a prolonged illness

Funeral Prayer Held in Kalyana Town

The funeral prayer took place at Masjid-e-Quba in Sector 10, Kalyana Town. A large number of people joined the gathering.

Senior journalists, members of Voice of Kalyana and social personalities attended the funeral. Family members and close friends also joined the prayers.

Mirza Iftikhar Baig Laid to Rest

After the funeral prayer, the family and mourners took Baig to Kalyana Graveyard in Pak Colony. They then laid him to rest there.

The attendees prayed for the departed soul. They asked Allah Almighty to forgive Baig and grant him a high place in Jannat-ul-Firdous.

They also prayed for strength and patience for the bereaved family. Many attendees described his death as a major loss for his family and community.

Soyem to Take Place on Saturday

The family will hold the Soyem of Mirza Iftikhar Baig on Saturday. The gathering will begin after Asr prayers at Masjid-e-Quba in Sector 10, Kalyana Town.

In addition, the family has arranged a separate condolence gathering for women. The gathering will take place at the residence of the deceased.

Family members, colleagues and friends are expected to attend both condolence gatherings. They will offer prayers for the departed soul and express solidarity with the bereaved family.
