Six terrorists were killed in an operation by security forces in North Waziristan District of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Province.
According to the Pakistan Army Public Relations (ISPR), security forces acted on a tip-off about the presence of terrorists in the Datta Khel area.

The ISPR said that six terrorists were killed in the operation and arms and ammunition were recovered from their possession.
According to ISPR, Lance Naik Islamuddin was martyred in an exchange of fire with the terrorists while the martyred officer belonged to Khyber district.
