Secience & Technology must combine for innovation and a way forward for beginners & start ups. said by Mr Iftikhar Ali Malik Chairman Guard Group. He said we must establish knowldge parks & Secience & Technology parks. He shared his experience of RND at his organisation where guard group have introduced Hybrid seeds for getting high yield of crops.Guard RND in rice has also produced long basmati rice.
He strongly suggested that RND organisations & Universities must establish such Centres. He added that industry & Acdemia can promote knowledgeable economy to promote Made in Pakistan. 5.5 million SMEs of Pakistan are doing a great job to enhance exports and generate employment but they still guidance in technology,quality, branding,marketing & certification to improve their supply chain and competitiveness.
Government must provide out of the box Technical Education & Skill development to the youth of Pakistan. Present status of technical education do not meet global standards abroad & at home. Teaching methods and Teaching infrastructure needs replacement of old discarded tools and equipments.Establishment of sectorial clusters is a must which is being ignored and no road map is indicated by responsible government agencies. Clusters can play a great role of quality improvement working Han in hand with Secience & Technolgy parks. NUST have done some humble headway to establish S&T park which must be improved and replicated by other educational institutions.
