The Clinic also provided an environment of an open house discussion on the vision, strategic action and roadmap in respect of the Companies’ SDGs activities and to support them in navigating the space for reshaping the narrative of SDGs landscape.

The SDG Clinic, which was conducted by Mr. Zubair Bawany, SDG Country Expert and Board Member Global Compact Network Pakistan and Mr. Fasihul Karim Siddiqi, Executive Director, Global Compact Network Pakistan was attended by SDG Champion Club Members and representatives of business companies, academia, civil society and NGOs.

Through a very interactive session the participating companies shared their SDG activities, their stories of success and failure including problems and impediments faced by them in aligning their strategies with SDGs and discussed alternative solutions which could help them in overcoming the challenges.

Out of the participating companies, a few companies who are not yet the members of UNGC showed their interest to join UNGC and the Network invited them to do so.

The participating companies also showed their interest in developing B2B and public-private partnership for which they were given appropriate guidelines so that sporadic SDG activities may be integrated with more effective and productive results and outcomes.

Mr. Ahsanullah Khan, President of the Network in his closing remarks appreciated the companys’ active participation throughout the session. He said that there is a dire need of the companies to carry out their business in the legal framework of the country and follow the SDGs 2030 to make their businesses more sustainable in this fluctuating economy.
