ISLAMABAD PAKISTAN – The Islamabad Police is likely to hand over Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Sanam Javed to Balochistan Police, the sources said on Monday.
The sources said Islamabad Police would hand over Sanam Javed to Balochistan Police.
Shortly, Sanam Javed would be presented at the G-11 court.
From the court, the Balochistan Police would seek transit remand.of Sanam Javed, after which she would be transferred to Balochistan.
Meanwhile, Sanam Javed’s father Javed Iqbal filed a petition in Islamabad High Court for her release.
Javed Iqbal Khan completed biometric verification, and Sanam Javed’s husband and other family members are also present.
The petition mentioned the federal government, FIA, IG Islamabad and others as respondents. It asked the court to order the police to produce Sanam Javed before the Islamabad High Court and order her immediate release from the illegal detention.
The petition also asked the court to provide details of the cases against Sanam Javed and to halt any proceedings on the registered cases against her.

It may be mentioned here that after her release by the District and Sessions Court of Islamabad the previous day, PTI leader Sanam Javed was re-arrested by Islamabad police.
The court had accepted the request of Sanam Javed’s lawyers to discharge her from the case, and after her release, she had gone home. However, shortly afterward, Islamabad’s Ramna Police re-arrested her.
In the case registered by the FIA against Sanam Javed, she was accused of defaming a security agency on social media.
