Jamshoro : Shaheed Allah Buksh Soomro (SABS) University of Art, Design and Heritages Jamshoro hosted an awareness seminar on Statrtup and Incubation. The seminar was conducted by the National Incubation Center (NIC) Hyderabad on May 03, 2023.
The seminar was comprised with an awareness lecture by NIC Hyderabad Program Manager Qahafa Azhad Siddiqui and Assistant Manager and Startup Engagements Noor ul Huda.
Highlighting the objectives of the seminar the speakers said that during incubation program, the startups will work on turning their ideas into business with the technical support and mentorship of NIC Hyderabad. They added that upon successful completion of the Incubation Program, startups will be eligible to make pitches in Investor’s Summit, where they may get funding/investment for scaling up their businesses.
The speakers were on opinion that our youth is second to none in any field of life, including entrepreneurial skills, business and creativity, but there is a need for providing them with reasonable opportunities and platforms enabling them to showcase their talents.
They further added that NIC Hyderabad provides facilities, workspace, mentoring, training, ideation boot camps, networking opportunities, social interaction, public relations, and much more to the interested candidates.
Vice-chancellor SABS Prof. Dr. Arabella Bhutto thanked the team of NIC Hyderabad and encouraged students of art to avail technology basis facilities and earn handsomely on basis of innovative ideas. She added that an artist is privileged as compared to others because his product is quickly available to reach out the market and industry. She further added that science and technology based products need art and design to be accepted by market. The SABS students have such capacity and alongwith NIC Hyderabad, they can establish their own business.
NIC Hyderabad Visual Communication Expert Hamza Ahmed Shaikh, SABS faculty member Uzma Arisar, faculty members and large number of students attended the seminar.
