Jamshoro Sindh : Shaheed Allah Buksh Soomro (SABS) University of Art, Design and
Heritages Jamshoro, welcomed the Charter Inspection and Evaluation Committee (CIEC) of Sindh
Higher Education Commission (HEC). The visit was conducted with the primary objective of
assessing, evaluating, and rating. The Chairman CIEC, Prof. Dr. Noshad Ahmed Shaikh, VC, Jinnah
Sindh Medical University Karachi, Dr. Amjad Siraj Memon, VC, LUMHS Jamshoro, Dr. Ikram
Uddin Ujjan, DG regional office HEC Karachi Engr. Nazeer Hussain, DG (CIEC) Sindh HEC, Dr.
Noman Ahsan, Director CEIC, Shahlla Memon, Assistant Director Darya Memon, Sarfraz Ali
Shahani and subject experts from various universities, graced the visit.
Members of the Expert Sub-committees had constructive discussions with the chairpersons of the
various departments.
The central CIEC Committee received a warm welcome from the Vice-Chancellor SABS University
Jamshoro, Prof. Dr. Arabella Bhutto. The members were briefed about the achievements, academia,
success stories, enrollment, departments, facilities and future plans by incharge Quality
Enhancement Cell, SABS University Jamshoro, Fahad Shams Nizamani whereas incharge director
finance Muneer Ahmed Khatian briefed about budget and development projects in the university.
The CIEC members were guided on a tour of the campus, witnessing exhibition of various
departments culminating in a ceremony where shields were distributed.
