Karachi: District Governor 2023-24 of Rotary International District 3271 Muhammad Hanif Khan led the delegation including; Arshad, Muhammad Ovais, Shehzad Sabir, District Secretary Asif Mukaty, and other Rotarians met The Rotary Foundation Trustee Chair Barry Raissin.
In this meeting, the introduction of District 3271 team, and The Rotary Foundation Trustee Chair Barry Raissin were informed about the district works. They also informed about the Rotary Secretariat established for the first time in history and the social projects to be developed with the help of Rotarians in the future.
The Rotary Foundation Trustee Chair Barry Raissin appreciated the efforts of District 3271 while praising the initiatives and projects of the District Governor and also assured of his cooperation in the future.
Deputy Governor Sheikh Imtiaz Hussain said that the scope of social services is being expanded worldwide under Rotary International. He said that their life is improved by providing basic facilities to the people of rural and backward areas through social and welfare projects.
Sheikh Imtiaz added providing education, health, and employment are missions of Rotary, while the purpose of Rotary is to serve humanity, for which welfare projects are being worked on day and night, which have benefited millions of people so far.
He said that Rotarians are devoted to the service of humanity, and such projects are being implemented to increase the literacy rate while measures are taken to ensure the provision of employment not only, but also for women, and empowering the youth is also our mission.
Further Sheikh Imtiaz said that Rotary International is the oldest and active organization of social services, which has been performing its services worldwide for a long time, while millions of Rotarians involved in Rotary International are full of service to humanity.
