KARACHI – Reforms in every sector of the economy is also a way forward to achieve self-reliance said to Business leader & President SAARC Chamber Mr. Iftikhar Ali Malik. The cost of doing business is increasing because of costly energy and it is also becoming unbearable for a common citizen and the Industry can not keep their production cost-competitive. High taxation is going to promote corruption keep a realistic rate of taxation.
The import of Luxury items is taking away our hard-earned foreign exchange stop them forever. Used vehicles and new vehicles are required to be banned to promote the local automobile industry. Mr. Malik strongly suggested working together for a peaceful & prosperous Pakistan & revisit IMF for a better-revised road map of conditions to suit Pakistan’s weak economic conditions. Lastly requested the PM to include the private sector in the economic coordination committee.
