The world’s leading real estate brand RE/MAX has sought support of Association of Builders and Developers (ABAD) for boosting overseas Pakistanis’ investment in real estate business.


A delegation of RE/MAX Pakistan lead by its Vice President Business Development Imran Gondal visited ABAD House on Wednesday. Other members of delegation were CEO RE/MAX Pakistan Asghar Ali Golo, Sameer Dossal, Muhammad Salim and others. Chairman ABAD Mohsin Sheikhani, Senior Vice Chairman Hanif Memon, Vice Chairman Altaf Kantawala, Chairman Southern Region Sufian Adhia, former office bearers and a large number of ABAD members were present on this occasion.
Imran Gondal said that ABAD is the only recognized body of builders and developers and ABAD and RE/MAX are able change investment scenario of real estate business in Pakistan. He pointed that 95 percent of overseas Pakistanis are sending remittances to Pakistan mainly for their family’s expenses. They want to invest largely in real estate but lack of trust distracts their wishes. He said that RE/MAX is the number one real estate brand and its Pakistan chapter has targeted 85 percent of overseas Pakistanis for investment in real estate of Pakistan. He said that RE/MAX is global brand having 9000 office in 120 countries with more than one lac forty thousand real estate professionals.
Addressing the meeting Chairman ABAD Mohsin Sheikhani said that members of ABAD can bring 10 billion dollars of investment into Pakistan every year through RE/MAX. He demanded of Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif and Finance Minister Miftah Ismail to carve out a comprehensive policy to provide protection and encouragement to construction industry to overcome current economical crisis. At present construction industry is in doldrums due to current unstable situation in Pakistan, he said adding that the federal and provincial government should make business-friendly policy for growth of this important industry with the consultations of ABAD. He said that whenever a country is facing economical crisis, government of the concerned country is giving special attention to construction industry because this is the sole industry, which gives boost to another 70 allied industries.
