Punjab Government Launches Registration for Interest-Free Motorcycle Scheme: Here’s How Students Can Apply.

Punjab: The Punjab government has commenced registrations for its interest-free motorcycle scheme, aiming to provide 20,000 motorcycles to students. Launched under the Chief Minister’s Youth Initiative in collaboration with the Bank of Punjab, the scheme will distribute 19,000 petrol motorcycles and 1,000 electric bikes through balloting, with a special quota for female students.

Students are encouraged to register promptly through the dedicated online portal. Eligible applicants must be over 18 years old and enrolled in HEC-recognized degree colleges or universities. They should possess a valid motorcycle learner’s permit or driving license. In case of excess applications, e-balloting will be conducted.

The scheme initially targets cities like Faisalabad, Multan, Bahawalpur, Rawalpindi, and Lahore, offering a significant opportunity for more than 800,000 students in the province to secure their transportation.

To register, students can visit the official website and provide their full name, email address, CNIC, and gender details. After registration, applicants can proceed to fill out the online application form, selecting their preference between petrol and electric motorcycles.

This initiative reflects the government’s commitment to promoting education and facilitating students’ mobility across Punjab.
