Islamabad Police has finalized the security plan regarding the possible long march of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf.
Sources in this regard say that during the long march, around 30,000 security personnel will perform the security duties of Islamabad, while police, Rangers, FC, elite force and Sindh police personnel will be deployed for security.
Sources said that about Rs 15 crore will be spent on food and other expenses of the security personnel per day, but the officials of the Ministry of Finance and Interior have been informed about the expenses.
Sources said that a large number of PTI workers are expected to arrive from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa to participate in the long march, however, to deal with this situation, the top officials of the federal police have suggested that the Islamabad International Airport be closed.
Apart from this, containers will be installed near the entry and exit routes of Islamabad, while emergency will be imposed in all the hospitals of the federal capital during the long march, however, the holidays of police, doctors, paramedical staff and aid organizations will be cancelled. .
After the possible announcement of the sit-in, it has been proposed to shut down Islamabad for a week and postpone the holidays and exams in schools and colleges.
25,000 additional personnel will be provided to the Islamabad Police to deal with the long march, while 50,000 rubber bullets will also be provided to the police personnel.
Apart from this, more than 60 thousand tear gas shells have been provided to the security agencies and 10 drones will also be provided while the shells will be thrown at the protesters with the help of drone cameras.
A helicopter will also be used for the first time to prevent possible riots.
On the other hand, consideration has also been started to declare Bani Gala as a sub-jail while security agencies have prepared lists for the arrest of PTI financiers.
