KARACHI – Quetta Gladiators and Peshawar Zalmi will play the final of the 2019 Pakistan Super League (PSL) at the National Stadium in Karachi on Sunday.
The match will begin at 7pm Pakistan Standard Time.
The final will be a repeat of the qualifier which the Gladiator won by a margin of 10 runs.
A trophy exhibition ceremony was held at the stadium on Saturday. An interesting moment took place when both Quetta Gladiators captain Sarfaraz Ahmed and Peshawar Zalmi skipper Darren Sammy each gestured to the other to take the trophy, both hesitating to pick it up themselves.
At the press conference, Sarfaraz said Zalmi is a top side and his team will try its best to beat them.
Sammy, on the other hand, said that his side is focused on tackling Quetta all-rounder Shane Watson.
The Quetta Gladiators have won all three fixtures against Peshawar Zalmi in the tournament so far.
